about me
Poetry and creative nonfiction are my typical writing realms. Exposed Bone is my editing passion project.

Outside of literature spheres, I'm a stingray enthusiast, a hair dye addict, and one of those people that sits on the porch when it rains.
the lore
The eldest of two girls, I grew up being the slightly mean older sibling until my sister and I decided we like each other. I'd known since junior high that English was going to be my major, but it wasn't until I got a chance email from Southern Utah University's English department inviting me to apply for their literary magazine editing class.
Nano Taggart adopted freshman-year me into Kolob Canyon Review via my response to the department's email, and four years later, I graduated from SUU as 2024's top creative writing student, having served as KCR's editor-in-chief and a TA for the project's class during my final year.

On top of learning how to edit, I learned that fiction wasn't my genre. Instead, I reluctantly accepted that I'm a poet, and I discovered the existence of creative nonfiction: both now genres I love dearly.
